Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing [Him], they asked Him to show them a sign out of heaven.


Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,


And some Pharisees approached and asked Him, "Is it lawful for a husband to put away his wife?"testing Him.


Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, in order that they might catch Him in [His ]discourse.


Should we give, or should we not give?"But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius, that I may see it."


But this they said, testing Him, that they might have an accusation against Him. But Jesus, stooping down, began to write on the ground with His finger, not taking notice.


Now to those who have married I command, yet not I, but the Lord: A wife is not to be separated from her husband-


Where your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, and saw My works forty years.
