But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.


Then he goes and takes along with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Thus it shall also be for this wicked generation."

But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Allow the little children come to Me, do not hinder them; for of such is the kingdom of God.


And having stopped, Jesus asked for him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, "Have courage, rise up; He is calling you."


He answered him and said, "O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me."


But He said to them, "Where is your faith?"But becoming afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this? For He commands both the winds and the water, and they obey Him!"


So I begged Your disciples that they might cast it out, but they could not."


And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed [him]. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.


Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He that has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?


Then He said to Thomas, "Bring your finger here, and see My hands; and bring your hand here, and put [it] into My side. Be not unbelieving, but believing."


Now for a time of about forty years He put up with them in the wilderness.


And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this crooked generation."


Or do you despise the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?


And we see that they were not able to enter on account of unbelief.


Therefore let us be diligent to enter into that rest, lest anyone falls in the same example of disobedience.


For indeed we have had the gospel preached [to us] just as those also; but the word which they heard did not profit those, not having been mixed with faith in those having heard it.


Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
