If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or [is] spiritual[,] let him recognize that the things which I am writing to you are the commandments of the Lord.


Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.


And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he has come to know nothing yet as he ought to know.


although I also [am] having confidence in the flesh. If any other [person] thinks to have confidence in the flesh, I even more:


On account of this we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
