For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?


Now it came to pass, as He reclined [to eat] in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners, having come, were reclining [to eat] with Jesus and His disciples.


And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me."And arising, he followed Him.


Now it came about, as He was dining in Levi's house, that many tax collectors and sinners were dining together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him.


Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were drawing near to Him to hear Him.


Then they made for Him a supper there; and Martha was serving, but Lazarus was one of those reclining [to eat] with Him.


And if any of the unbelievers invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat whatever is set before you, questioning nothing, for conscience' sake.
