Now as he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him."


And Pilate, seeing that nothing was being gained, but rather a riot was starting, taking water, he washed his hands clean in front of the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just [Man]. You see to it."


saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood."And they said, "What is [that] to us? You see to it!"


So when the centurion and those with him guarding Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were greatly afraid, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"


But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?


Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come in Your kingdom."


You are witnesses, and [so is ]God, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we were among you that believe;


Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.


but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb blameless and spotless,


who, being verbally abused, did not return verbal insults, when [He] suffered, [He] did not threaten, but committed [Himself] to Him who judges righteously;
