And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve came, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, [sent] from the chief priests and elders of the people.


In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to arrest Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.


For I say to you that this which has been written must still be accomplished in Me-the [saying,] 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have a fulfillment."


And he went off and spoke with the chief priests and captains [about] how he might betray Him to them.


But Jesus answered and said, "Stop right there."And touching his ear, He healed him.


When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."


When I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. [Those] whom You have given to Me I guarded; and not one of them is lost except the son of perdition, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.


Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they were afraid of the people, lest they be stoned.
