25 But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things, but now here he is comforted and you are suffering.

Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not submit to the law of God, nor indeed can it.


whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame-who are mindful of earthly things.


that no one should be disturbed by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are appointed unto this.


choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to have the temporary pleasure of sin,


Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.


And I said to him, "My lord, you know."So he said to me, "These are those who come out of the Great Tribulation, and have washed their robes and they made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
