When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus, so as to put Him to death.


And having bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.


who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This [same] Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you watched Him go into heaven."


And they were all amazed and were marveling, saying to one another, "Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?


After this arose Judas the Galilean, in the days of the census, and caused considerable number of people after him to revolt. He too perished, and as many as were persuaded by him were scattered.
