The commander of the guards trusted Joseph with everything that was in the prison. This happened because the Lord was with Joseph. The Lord helped Joseph be successful in everything he did.

David also said, “Now, son, may the Lord be with you. May you be successful and build the temple {\cf2\super [237]} for the Lord your God, like he said you would.


And you will have success, if you are careful to obey the rules and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid.


He had success in every work he began—the service of God’s temple {\cf2\super [389]} and in obeying the law and commands, and in following his God. Hezekiah did all these things with all his heart.


Many people brought gifts for the Lord to Jerusalem. They brought valuable things to Hezekiah king of Judah. From that time on, all the nations respected Hezekiah.


but with water it will grow again.\par It will grow branches like a new plant.\par


If you decide to do something,\par it will be successful.\par And your future will be bright indeed!\par


You will enjoy the things you work for.\par You will be happy,\par and good things will happen to you.\par


People walking by them will not say,\par “May the Lord bless you.”\par People will not greet them and say,\par “We bless you in the name of the Lord.”\par


Even when they are old,\par they will continue producing fruit\par like young, healthy trees.\par

The vines will become dry. And the branches will break off. Women will use those branches for firewood.


Tell the good people that good things will happen to them. They will receive a reward for the good things they do.


They will grow among the people in the world. They will be like trees growing beside streams of water.


The Lord will always lead you. He will satisfy your soul in dry lands. The Lord will give strength to your bones. You will be like a garden that has much water. You will be like a spring that always has water.


That person will be strong\par like a tree planted near water.\par That tree has large roots that find the water.\par That tree is not afraid\par when the days are hot.\par Its leaves are always green.\par It does not worry in a year\par when no rain comes.\par That tree always produces fruit.\par


The grapevine was planted in a good field.\par It was planted near plenty of water.\par It could have grown branches and fruit.\par It could have become a very good grapevine.”\par


“‘Your mother is like a grapevine\par planted near the water.\par She had plenty of water,\par so she grew many strong vines.\par


So that tree was taller\par than all the other trees of the field.\par And it grew many branches.\par There was plenty of water,\par so the tree branches spread out.\par


All kinds of fruit trees will grow on both sides of the river. Their leaves never will become dry and fall. The fruit will never stop growing on those trees. The trees will produce fruit every month. Why? Because the water for the trees comes from the temple. The fruit from the trees will be for food, and their leaves will be for healing.”


You are like gardens planted by the streams. You are like gardens growing by the rivers. You are like sweet-smelling bushes planted by the Lord. You are like beautiful trees growing by the water.


But when the sun rose, it burned the plants. The plants died because they did not have deep roots.


Jesus saw a fig tree beside the road. Jesus went to the fig tree \{to get a fig to eat\}. But there were no figs on the tree. There were only leaves. So Jesus said to the tree, “You will never again have fruit!” And then the tree dried up and died.


Later, it was time for the grapes to be picked. So the man sent his servants to the farmers to get his share of the grapes.


The Jewish priests and leaders said, “He will surely kill those evil men. Then he will lease the land to some other farmers. He will lease it to farmers that will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.”


If a person does not continue in me, then he is like a branch that is thrown away. That branch dies. People pick up dead branches, throw them into the fire, and burn them.


“The Lord will bless you and fill your barns. He will bless everything you do. The Lord your God will bless you in the land that he is giving you.


It flows down the middle of the street of the city. The tree of life was on each side of the river. The tree of life makes fruit twelve times a year. It gives fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing all the people.
