About that same time, Jesus was walking through the fields of grain on a Sabbath day. {\cf2\super [151]} Jesus’ followers were with him, and they were hungry. So the followers began to pick the grain and eat it.


Jesus said to the Pharisees and teachers of the law, “If your son or work animal falls into a well on the Sabbath day, you know you would pull him out quickly.”


“If your neighbor’s donkey or cow has fallen down on the road, you must not ignore it. You must help him lift it up again.
