The followers came to Jesus and asked, “Why do you use these stories to teach the people?”


Then Jesus left the people and went into the house. His followers came to him and said, “Explain to us the meaning of the story about the weeds in the field.”


Six days later, Jesus took Peter, James, and John the brother of James and went up on a high mountain. They were all alone there.


Jesus and his followers were coming closer to Jerusalem. But first they stopped at Bethphage at the hill called the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [279]} There Jesus sent two of his followers into the town.


Later, Jesus was sitting at a place on the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [364]} The followers came to be alone with Jesus. They said, “Tell us when these things will happen. And what will happen to show us that it is time for you to come again and time for the world {\cf2\super [365]} to end?”


Then James and John, sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus. They said, “Teacher, we want to ask you to do something for us.”


“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will show us it is time for these things to happen?”


Jesus told Peter, James, and John to come with him. Then Jesus began to be very troubled and full of sorrow.


Jesus always used stories to teach the people. But when Jesus and his followers were alone together, Jesus explained everything to them.


Jesus let only Peter, James, and John the brother of James go with him.


Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John and went up on a high mountain. They were all alone there. While these followers watched him, Jesus was changed.
