6 Therefore Job openeth his mouth in vain, and multiplieth words without knowledge.


For the Lord will not leave the rod of sinners upon the lot of the just: that the just may not stretch forth their hands to iniquity.


For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: Israel for his own possession.


Praise him with sound of trumpet: praise him with psaltery and harp.

3 Thy way, O God, is in the holy place: who is the great God like our God?


5 I am poor, and in labours from my youth: and being exalted have been humbled and troubled.


For thus saith the Lord to me: Like as the lion roareth, and the lion's whelp upon his prey, and when a multitude of shepherds shall come against him, he will not fear at their voice, nor be afraid of their multitude: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight upon mount Sion, and upon the hill thereof.


6 But if he have no kinsman, and he himself can find the price to redeem it:


Arise, and go to Ninive the great city: and preach in it the preaching that I bid thee.


6 And when evening was come, they brought to him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word: and all that were sick he healed:


3 And he, taking them the same hour of the night, washed their stripes, and himself was baptized, and all his house immediately.


3 And the Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail: and thou shalt be always above, and not beneath: yet so if thou wilt hear the commandments of the Lord thy God which I command thee this day, and keep and do them,


2 Put ye on therefore, as the elect of God, holy, and beloved, the bowels of mercy, benignity, humility, modesty, patience:
