And God seeing that the wickedness of men was great on the earth, and that all the thought of their heart was bent upon evil at all times,


1 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man's heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.


20 Pierce thou my flesh with thy fear: for I am afraid of thy judgments.


1 The horse is prepared for the day of battle: but the Lord giveth safety.


7 Incline thy ear, and hear the words of the wise: and apply thy heart to my doctrine :


4 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and deliver his soul from hell.


5 Lie not in wait, nor seek after wickedness in the house of the just, nor spoil his rest.


5 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but the child that is left to his own will bringeth his mother to shame.

Blessed is the man that doth this, and the son of man that shall lay hold on this: that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, that keepeth his hands from doing any evil.


2 For my foolish people have not known me: they are foolish and senseless children: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.


7 But she said: Yea, Lord; for the whelps also eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters.


6 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.


2 But Jesus hearing it, said: They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill.


0 And Philip running thither, heard him reading the prophet Isaias. And he said: Thinkest thou that thou understandest what thou readest?


4 For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as if we reached not unto you. For we are come as far as to you in the gospel of Christ.
