5 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that the thing had been told us, that God defeated their counsel. And we returned all of us to the walls, every man to his work.


6 And it came to pass from that day forward, that half of their young men did the work, and half were ready for to fight, with spears, and shields, and bows, and coats of mail, and the rulers were behind them in all the house of Juda.


7 Blessed is the mall whom God correcteth: refuse not therefore the chastising of the lord:


7 Vain is the horse for safety: neither shall he be saved by the abundance of his strength.


2 Understand these things, you that forget God; lest he snatch you away, and there be none to deliver you.


9 That thy trust may be in the Lord, wherefore I have also shewn it to thee this day.


9 And forthwith coming to Jesus, he said: Hail, Rabbi. And he kissed him.


And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude.


As all things of his divine power which appertain to life and godliness, are given us, through the knowledge of him who hath called us by his own proper glory and virtue.
