6 And now O Lord, thou art God: and thou hast promised to thy servant such great benefits.


And king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the temple of the Lord, which Nabuchodonosor had taken from Jerusalem, and had put them in the temple of his god.


And I came to the governors of the country beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. And the king had sent wish me captains of soldiers, and horsemen.


9 And I said to the nobles, and to the magistrates, and to the rest of the common people: The work is great and wide, and we are separated on the wall one far from another:


3 I set the people in the place behind the wall round about in order, with their swords, and spears, and bows.


7 And the fruits thereof grow up for the kings, whom thou hast set over us for our sins, and they have dominion over our bodies, and over our beasts, according to their will, and we are in great tribulation.


The princes of the people are gathered together, with the God of Abraham: for the strong gods of the earth are exceedingly exalted.


I remembered God, and was delighted, and was exercised, and my spirit swooned away.


Thou rulest the power of the sea: and appeasest the motion of the waves thereof.


0 Thou hast humbled the proud one, as one that is slain: with the arm of thy strength thou hast scattered thy enemies.


5 blessed is the people that knoweth jubilation. They shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance:


Six days shalt thou labour, and shalt do all thy works.


7 If thou say in thy heart: These nations are more than I, how shall I be able to destroy them?


6 Neither shalt thou bring any thing of the idol into thy house, lest thou become an anathema, like it. Thou shalt detest it as dung, and shalt utterly abhor it as uncleanness and filth, because it is an anathema.


4 Blessed shalt thou be among all people. No one shall be barren among you of either sex, neither of men nor cattle.
