Egypt is man, and not God: and their horses, flesh, and not spirit: and the Lord shall put down his hand, and the helper shall fall, and he that is helped shall fall, and they shall al be confounded together.


And we are all become as one unclean, and all our justices as the rag of a menstruous woman: and we have all fallen as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.


8 Vau. And I said: My end and my hope is perished from the Lord.


9 Zain. Remember my poverty, and transgression, the wormwood, and the gall.


4 Therefore, behold I will allure her, and will lead her into the wilderness: and I will speak to her heart.
