8 Lift up thy eyes round about, and see all these are gathered together, they are come to thee: I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt be clothed with all these se with an ornament, and as a bride thou shalt put them about thee.


For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.


They have broken the eggs of asps, and have woven the webs of spiders: he that shall eat of their eggs, shall die: and that which is brought out, shall be hatched into a basilisk.


1 Yet I planted thee a chosen vineyard, all true seed: how then art thou turned unto me into that which is good for nothing, O strange vineyard?


3 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my law in their bowels, and I will write it in their heart: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.


7 And the border from the sea even to the court of Enan, shall be the border of Damascus, and from the north to the north: the border of Emath, this is the north side.


1 ll that creepeth upon the earth shall be abominable, neither shall it be taken for meat.


And the disciples seeing it, had indignation, saying: To what purpose is this waste?


4 You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid.


8 No man taketh it away from me: but I lay it down of myself, and I have power to lay it down: and I have power to take it up again. This commandment have I received of my Father.


4 And said: Where have you laid him? They say to him: Lord, come and see.


8 For thou hast had five husbands: and he whom thou now hast, is not thy husband. This thou hast said truly.


9 The woman saith to him: Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.


1 Jesus saith to her: Woman, believe me, that the hour cometh, when you shall neither on this mountain, not in Jerusalem, adore the Father.


4 For Jesus himself gave testimony that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.


5 And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst.


3 Jesus therefore answered, and said to them: Murmur not among yourselves.


6 After this many of his disciples went back; and walked no more with him.


5 The ministers therefore came to the chief priests and the Pharisees. And they said to them: Why have you not brought him?


Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ:


But sin taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.


So that on the contrary, you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.


Be ye not therefore partakers with them.


Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him, shall not be confounded.


Look to yourselves, that you lose not the things which you have wrought: but that you may receive a full reward.


And the second angel sounded the trumpet: and as it were a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood:


And the third part of those creatures died, which had life in the sea, and the third part of the ships was destroyed.
