Thus saith the Lord: Whosoever shell remain in this city, shall die by the sword, and by famine, and by pestilence : but he that shall go forth to the Chaldeans, shall live, and his life shall be safe, and he shall live.


2 And the next day, which followed the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees came together to Pilate,


9 And all his acquaintance, and the women that had followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.


5 And the women that were come with him from Galilee, following after, saw the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.


And Paul being called for, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying: Whereas through thee we live in much peace, and many things are rectified by thy providence,


7 And Paul, calling to him one of the centurions, said: Bring this young man to the tribune, for he hath some thing to tell him.


And now for the hope of the promise that was made by God to the fathers, do I stand subject to judgment:
