5 And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the Lord: the altars also which he had made in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and he cast them all out of the city.


But if you will not hearken to these words: I swear by myself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a desolation.


And many nations shall pass by this city: and they shall say every man to his neighbor: Why hath the Lord done so to this great city?


0 Weep not for him that is dead, nor bemoan him with your tears: lament him that goeth away, for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.


0 And all the princes, and all the people who entered into the covenant, heard that every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant go free, and should no more have dominion over them: and they obeyed, and let them go free.


Ephraim shall be in desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel I have shewn that which shall surely be.


Hear this, you that crush the poor, and make the needy of the land to fail,


6 And the king was struck sad. Yet because of his oath, and because of them that were with him at table, he would not displease her:
