6 And he gave them unto mercies, in the sight of all those that had made them captives.


Let them say so that have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy: and gathered out of the countries.


And the rivers shall fail: the streams of the banks shall be diminished, and be dried up. The reed and the bulrush shall wither away.


In that day the Lord of hosts shall be a crown of glory, and a garland of joy to the residue of his people:


For it is a people that provoketh to wrath, and lying children, children that will not hear the law of God.


WOE to them that make wicked laws: and when they write, write injustice:


5 Your iniquities have turned these things away, and your sins have withholden good things from you.


3 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands are grown feeble: anguish hath taken hold of him, pangs as a, woman in labour.


7 Ain. The Lord hath done that which he purposed, he hath fulfilled his word, which he commanded in the days of old: he hath destroyed, and hath not spared, and he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee, and hath set up the horn of thy adversaries.


And thou, son of man, mourn with the breaking of thy loins, and with bitterness sigh before them.


And my people shall long for my return: but a yoke shall be put upon them together, which shall not be taken off.


4 A tumult shall arise among thy people: and all thy fortresses shall be destroyed as Salmana was destroyed, by the house of him that judged Baal in the day of battle, the mother being dashed in pieces upon her children.


Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I will hear him, and I will make him flourish like a green fir tree: from me is thy fruit found.


And the pride of Israel shall answer in his face: and Israel and Ephraim shall fall in their iniquity, Juda also shall fall with them.


With their flocks, and with their herds, they shall go to seek the Lord, and shall not find him: he is withdrawn from them.


0 I will destroy your high places, and break your idols. You shall fall among the ruins of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.


6 And as to them that shall remain of you I will send fear in their hearts in the countries of their enemies, the sound of a flying leaf shall terrify them, and they shall flee as it were from the sword: they shall fall, when no man pursueth them,


8 You shall perish among the Gentiles, and an enemy's land shall consume you.


And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, I said: O Lord God, be merciful, I beseech thee: who shall raise up Jacob, for he is very little?


For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and delivered thee out of the house of slaves: and I sent before thy face Moses, and Aaron, and Mary.


And Judas begot Phares and Zara of Thamar. And Phares begot Esron. And Esron begot Aram.


7 And the filth of the afterbirths, that come forth from between her thighs, and the children that are born the same hour. For they shall eat them secretly for the want of all things, in the siege and distress, wherewith thy enemy shall oppress thee within thy gates.


0 How should one pursue after a thousand, and two chase ten thousand? Was it not, because their God had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?
