And perceiving also that Laban's countenance was not towards him as yesterday and the other day,


3 Laban answered him: The daughters are mine and the children, and thy flocks, and all things that thou seest are mine: what can I do to my children, and grandchildren?


1 Deliver me from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am greatly afraid of him: lest perhaps he come, and kill the mother with the children.


5 Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and twenty bulls, twenty she asses, and ten of their foals.


And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying: We came to Esau thy brother, and behold he cometh with speed to meet thee with four hundred men.


2 And said: Let us go on together, and I will accompany thee in thy journey.


And Esau dwelt in mount Seir: he is Edom.


4 The eyes of a wise man are in his head: the fool walketh in darkness: and I learned that they were to die both alike.


8 You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and you shall drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, and of lambs, and of he goats, and bullocks, and of all that are well fed and fat.


3 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
