0 And Lot, lifting up his eyes, saw all the country about the Jordan, which was watered throughout, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, as the paradise of the Lord, and like Egypt as one comes to Segor.


2 Abram dwelt in the land of Chanaan; and Lot abode in the towns that were about the Jordan, and dwelt in Sodom.


7 And the Lord said: Can I hide from Abraham what I am about to do:


3 The sun was risen upon the earth, and Lot entered into Segor.


1 And said: Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away: as it hath pleased the Lord so is it done: blessed be the name of the Lord.


0 They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, and horror shall fall upon them that went before.


The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried by the fire, purged from the earth refined seven times.


6 Only in the land of Gessen, where the children of Israel were, the hail fell not.


7 Learn to do well: seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge for the fatherless, defend the widow.


The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, the rod of the rulers,


And the Assyrian shall fall by the sword not of a man, and the sword not of a man shall devour him, and he shall flee not at the face of the sword: and his young men shall be tributaries.


And I will strike the inhabitants of this city, men and beasts shall die of a great pestilence.


2 If they stood in my counsel, and had made my words known to my people, I should have turned them from their evil way and from their wicked doings.


6 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets: and all the men of war shall be silent in that day, saith the Lord of hosts.


And I will send to Babylon fanners, and they shall fan her, and shall destroy her land: for they are come upon her on every side in the day of her affliction.


4 Nun. They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they were defiled with blood: and when they could not help walking in it, they held up their skirts.


And he prevailed over the angel, and was strengthened: he wept, and made supplication to him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us.


Seek ye the Lord, and live: lest the house of Joseph be burnt with fire, and it shall devour, and there shall be none to quench Bethel.


She hath not hearkened to the voice, neither hath she received discipline: she hath not trusted in the Lord, she drew not near to her God.


0 But yet rejoice not in this, that spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice in this, that your names are written in heaven.


9 And mayst thou grope at midday as the blind is wont to grope in the dark, and not make straight thy ways. And mayst thou at all times suffer wrong, and be oppressed with violence, and mayst thou have no one to deliver thee.


7 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this volume :


8 And he hath cast them out of their land, in anger and in wrath, and in very great indignation, and hath thrown them into a strange land, as it is seen this day.


5 Leaving the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity,


6 These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain's sake.


9 And the angel thrust in his sharp sickle into the earth, and gathered the vineyard of the earth, and cast it into the great press of the wrath of God:
