Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.


9 And they spoke ill of God: they said: Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?


1 Therefore he set over them masters of the works, to afflict them with burdens, and they built for Pharao cities of tabernacles, Phithom and Ramesses.


4 And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: Go sacrifice to the Lord: let your sheep only, and herds remain; let your children go with you.


0 And Pharao answered: So be the Lord with you, as I shall let you and your children go: who can doubt but that you intend some great evil?


Seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be the solemnity of the Lord.


The Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become salvation to me: he is my God and I will glorify him: the God of my father, and I will exalt him.


4 Nations rose up, and were angry: sorrows took hold on the inhabitants of Philisthiim.


Moses came, and calling together the elders of the people, he declared all the words which the Lord had commanded.


2 And he said to him: I will be with thee: and this thou shalt have for a sign, that I have sent thee: When thou shalt have brought my people out of Egypt, thou shalt offer sacrifice to God upon this mountain.


And brought you into the land, concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and I will give it you to possess, I am the Lord.


And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, who have stretched forth my hand upon Egypt, and have brought forth the children of Israel out of the midst of them.


7 Arise, arise, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunk even to the bottom of the cup of dead sleep, and thou hast drunk even to the dregs.


3 Behold I come to thee that dwelleth in a valley upon a rock above a plain, saith the Lord: and you say: Who shall strike us? and who shall enter into our houses?


9 And the Chaldeans that fight against this city, shall come and set it on fire, and burn it, with the houses upon whose roofs they offered sacrifice to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to strange gods, to provoke me to wrath.


1 Neither would he condescend to their desire to grant them passage through his borders. Wherefore Israel turned another way from him.


5 Not one of the men of this wicked generation shall see the good land, which I promised with an oath to your fathers:


And to all the host of the Egyptians, and to their horses and chariots: how the waters of the Red Sea covered them, when they pursued you, and how the Lord destroyed them until this present day:


Your eyes have seen all the greet works of the Lord, that he hath done,


3 And thou shalt speak thus in the sight of the Lord thy God: I have taken that which was sanctified out of my house, and I have given it to the Levite, and to the stranger, and to the fatherless, and to the widow, as thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments nor forgotten thy precepts.


And took their land, and delivered it for a possession to h Ruben and Gad, and the half tribe of Manasses.


And Moses the servant of the Lord died there, in the land of Moab, by the commandment of the Lord:


No man shall be able to resist you all the days of thy life: as I have been with Moses, so will I be with thee: I will not leave thee, nor forsake thee.

4 And he shall deliver their kings into thy hands, and thou shalt destroy their names from under Heaven: no man shall be able to resist thee, until thou destroy them.


And returning from the mount, I came down, and put the tables into the ark, that I had made, and they are there till this present, as the Lord commanded me.


2 And I sent before you hornets: and I drove them out from their places, the two kings of the Amorrhites, not with thy sword nor with thy bow.
