5 Hast thou not heard what I have done from the beginning? from the days of old I have formed it, and now I have brought it to effect: that fenced cities of fighting men should be turned to heaps of ruin:


5 All the days of the poor are evil: a secure mind is like a continual feast.


Who is this that cometh up from the desert, flowing with delights, leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple tree I raised thee up: there thy mother was corrupted, there she was defloured that bore thee.

And I heard the voice of his words: and when I heard, I lay in a consternation, upon my face, and my face was close to the ground.


And after the end of years they shall be in league together: and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make friendship, but she shall not obtain the strength of the arm, neither shall her seed stand: and she shall be given up, and her young men that brought her, and they that strengthened her in these times.


1 Wherefore those men carefully watching him, found Daniel praying and making supplication to his God.


3 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him.


6 And behold thy cousin Elizabeth, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her that is called barren:
