2 My eyes have failed for thy word, saying: When wilt thou comfort me?


Sing joyfully to God, all the earth: serve ye the Lord with gladness. Come in before his presence with exceeding great joy.


4 And when his kinsman had seen all things that he did among the people, he said: What is it that thou dost among the people? Why sittest thou alone, and all the people wait from morning till night.


And Aaron stretched forth his hand upon the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.


7 And it shall come to pass after seventy years, that the Lord will visit Tyre, and will bring her back again to her traffic: and she shall commit fornication again with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:


It was planted in a good ground upon many waters, that it might bring forth branches, and bear fruit, that it might become a large vine.


4 Now at the end of the days, I Nabuchodonosor lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my sense was restored to me: and I blessed the most High, and I praised and glorified him that liveth for ever: for his power is an everlasting power, and his kingdom is to all generations.


1 The tree was great, and strong: and the height thereof reached unto heaven: the sight thereof was even to the ends of all the earth.


In the same hour there appeared fingers, as it were of the hand of a man, writing over against the candlestick upon the surface of the wall of the king's palace: and the king beheld the joints of the hand that wrote.


2 Because a greater spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, and interpretation of dreams, and shewing of secrets, and resolving of difficult things, were found in him, that is, in Daniel: whom the king named Baltarsar. Now therefore let Daniel be called for, and he will tell the interpretation.


But he said to them: Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him:


2 And when they had heard of the resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked, but others said: We will hear thee again concerning this matter.


But the Lord's portion is his people: Jacob the lot of his inheritance.


And the third poured out his vial upon the rivers and the fountains of waters; and there was made blood.


6 And he shall gather them together into a place, which in Hebrew is called Armagedon.


He raiseth up the needy from the dust, and lifteth up the poor from the dunghill: that he may sit with princes, and hold the throne of glory. For the poles of the earth are the Lord's, and upon them he hath set the world.
