Every proud man is an abomination to the Lord: though hand should be joined to hand, he is not innocent. The beginning of a good way is to do justice; and this is more acceptable with God, than to offer sacrifices.


0 The fault is not so great when a man hath stolen: for he stealeth to fill his hungry soul:


You that hate good, and love evil: that violently pluck off their skins from them, and their flesh from their bones?

4 Jesus saith to him: Thou hast said it. Nevertheless I say to you, hereafter you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God, and coming in the clouds of heaven.


2 And the scribe said to him: Well, Master, thou hast said in truth, that there is one God, and there is no other besides him.


4 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want cast in all she had, even her whole living.


NOW there was a certain man sick, named Lazarus, of Bethania, of the town of Mary and Martha her sister.


8 You yourselves do bear me witness, that I said, I am not Christ, but that I am sent before him.


4 And praying, they said: Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,


Having heard these things, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.


8 Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.


5 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive.


Which he had promised before, by his prophets, in the holy scriptures,


3 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing; that you may abound in hope, and in the power of the Holy Ghost.


8 For it is not he is a Jew, who is so outwardly; nor is that circumcision which is outwardly in the flesh:


0 As it is written: There is not any man just.


For why did Christ, when as yet we were weak, according to the time, die for the ungodly?


6 And if the ear should say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body ?


7 Now this I say, that the testament which was confirmed by God, the law which was made after four hundred and thirty years, doth not disannul, to make the promise of no effect.


And will take thee to himself, and bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it: and blessing thee, he will make thee more numerous than were thy fathers.

Now as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.
