And he put a garrison in Damascus, that Syria also should serve him, and bring gifts. And the Lord assisted him in all things to which he went.

4 Of which one shall be offered to the Lord for firstfruits, and shall be the priest's that shall pour out the blood of the victim.


7 For this cause therefore he spreadeth his net, and will not spare continually to slay the nations.


4 Every thing that the children of Israel shall give by vow, shall be thine.


9 But he said to another: Follow me. And he said: Lord, suffer me first to go, and to bury my father.


1 And another said: I will follow thee, Lord; but let me first take my leave of them that are at my house.


And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines, was four months.
