Now the serpent was more subtle than any of the beasts of the earth which the Lord God made. And he said to the woman: Why hath God commanded you, that you should not eat of every tree of paradise?


And the Lord God said to the woman: Why hast thou done this? And she answered: The serpent deceived me, and I did eat.


And Adam called the name of his wife Eve: because she was the mother of all the living.


And the serpent said to the woman: No, you shall not die the death.


For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.


You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.


He that exhorteth, in exhorting; he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with carefulness; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.


For our glory is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity of heart and sincerity of God, and not in carnal wisdom, but in the grace of God, we have conversed in this world: and more abundantly towards you.


For you suffer if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take from you, if a man be lifted up, if a man strike you on the face.


Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is scandalized, and I am not on fire?


For we are not as many, adulterating the word of God; but with sincerity, but as from God, before God, in Christ we speak.


But we renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience, in the sight of God.


I wonder that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ, unto another gospel.


But because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privately to spy our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into servitude.


O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you?


I am afraid of you, lest perhaps I have laboured in vain among you.


That henceforth we be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive


To put off, according to former conversation, the old man, who is corrupted according to the desire of error.


Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption. Amen.


Let no man seduce you, willing in humility, and religion of angels, walking in the things which he hath not seen, in vain puffed up by the sense of his flesh,


Now this I say, that no man may deceive you by loftiness of words.


Beware lest any man cheat you by philosophy, and vain deceit; according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ:


For this cause also, I, forbearing no longer, sent to know your faith: lest perhaps he that tempteth should have tempted you, and our labour should be made vain.


As I desired thee to remain at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some not to teach otherwise,


And Adam was not seduced; but the woman being seduced, was in the transgression.


But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse: erring, and driving into error.


For there are also many disobedient, vain talkers, and seducers: especially they who are of the circumcision:


Be not led away with various and strange doctrines. For it is best that the heart be established with grace, not with meats; which have not profited those that walk in them.


You therefore, brethren, knowing these things before, take heed, lest being led aside by the error of the unwise, you fall from your own steadfastness.


Knowing this first, that in the last days there shall come deceitful scoffers, walking after their own lusts,


Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that Antichrist cometh, even now there are become many Antichrists: whereby we know that it is the last hour.


Dearly beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits if they be of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.


For certain men are secretly entered in, (who were written of long ago unto this judgment,) ungodly men, turning the grace of our Lord God into riotousness, and denying the only sovereign Ruler, and our Lord Jesus Christ.


And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman, water as it were a river; that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.


And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.


And he laid hold on the dragon the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
