Think about giving – it's truly beautiful in God's eyes. When you're preparing your offering, remember it should be your best, given with a sincere heart. It should be a joyful act, knowing how much God has already blessed us with, even when we don't deserve it. He's been incredibly generous, hasn't He?
If you only give what's leftover, well, life might just mirror that back to you. Think about it – give as if you're giving to yourself. Don't do it out of obligation or because you expect something in return. True giving comes from the heart.
Don't make a big show of it either. It's not about getting praised or patted on the back. Let your giving be a quiet act between you and God. He sees what's in your heart, and He loves a cheerful giver. Remember what it says in 2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
Giving is an act of worship, a way to give back a portion of what God has already given us. And when God gives, He gives abundantly. When you offer from the heart, you're opening the door for even more blessings. The more you give, the more you receive. It's a beautiful cycle.
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Elohim?Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Elohim.
Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers,
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house nor greet him,
for he who greets him shares in his wicked works.
Make no friendship with one given to wrath, And do not go with a man of rage,
Lest you learn his ways, And find yourself ensnared.
Do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone called ‘a brother,’ if he is one who whores, or greedy of gain, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler – not even to eat with such a one.
A man of many friends might come to ruin, But there is a Loving One Who sticks closer than a brother!
She weeps bitterly at night, And her tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is no comforter for her. All her friends have betrayed her, They have become her enemies.
He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends.
But we command you, brothers, in the Name of our Master יהושע Messiah, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which you received from us.
Reject a divisive man after the first and second warning,
knowing that such a one has been perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.
For the perverse one is an abomination to יהוה, And His secret counsel is with the straight.
He who tills his land is satisfied with bread, But he who pursues vanities is filled with poverty.
I have not sat with men of falsehood, Nor do I enter with pretenders.
I have hated the assembly of evil-doers, And I do not sit with the wrong.
And if anyone does not obey our word in this letter, note that one, and do not keep company with him, so that he is put to shame.
However, do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
The righteous is a guide to his neighbour, But the way of the wrong leads them astray.
Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers,
But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night.
For he shall be as a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And whose leaf does not wither, And whatever he does prospers.
Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? And what fellowship has light with darkness?
Oh, that You would slay the wrong, O Eloah! Depart from me, therefore, men of bloodshed!
They speak against You wickedly. Bring Your enemies to naught!
O יהוה, do I not hate them, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
With a complete hatred I hate them; They have become my enemies.
You were running well, who held you back from obeying the truth?
That persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.
A little leaven leavens all the lump.
Be sober, watch, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Because all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but the one doing the desire of Elohim remains forever.
Now I call upon you, brothers, watch out for those who cause divisions and stumbling, contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.
For such ones do not serve our Master יהושע Messiah, but their own stomach, and by smooth words and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent.
But you, O man of Elohim, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, reverence, belief, love, endurance, meekness.
Fight the good fight of the belief, lay hold on everlasting life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession before many witnesses.
My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in.
If they say, “Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, Let us ambush the innocent without cause.
“Let us swallow them alive like the grave, And entirely, like those going down to the pit.
“Let us find all precious goods, Let us fill our houses with spoil.
“Cast in your lot among us, Let us all have one purse,”
My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path;
in which they are surprised that you do not run with them in the same flood of loose behaviour, blaspheming,
“But beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves.
Trust in a treacherous man in time of distress Is like a broken tooth or a foot out of joint.
Brothers, if a man is overtaken in some trespass, you the spiritual ones, set such a one straight in a spirit of meekness, looking at yourself lest you be tried too.
And flee from the lusts of youth, but pursue righteousness, belief, love, peace with those calling on the Master out of a clean heart.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour.
For if they fall, one lifts his companion up. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.
having been filled with all unrighteousness, whoring, wickedness, greed, evil; filled with envy, murder, fighting, deceit, evil habits; whisperers,
slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, proud, boasters, devisers of evils, disobedient to parents,
without discernment, covenant breakers, unloving, unforgiving, ruthless;
who, though they know the righteousness of Elohim, that those who practise such deserve death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practise them.
Do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Because all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world.
