If you have faith in God, anything is possible. The Bible says you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. God empowers you to memorize His word, removing any limitations from your mind, and He starts challenging you to see how you can achieve it.
A really important reason to hide Scripture in your heart is so that when the enemy tries to mess with your head, you can stand your ground with what's already inside you. Let the word come alive in your life, building up such a strong fortress that Satan can't find a crack to weaken you.
God wants everything you say to be guided by His will, and you'll know His will by learning the Scriptures.
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice, let them forever shout for joy! Shelter them; and they will be glad, those who love your name.
Haven’t I ordered you, ‘Be strong, be bold’? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you; don’t be distressed, for I am your God. I give you strength, I give you help, I support you with my victorious right hand.
Think about the wild irises, and how they grow. They neither work nor spin thread; yet, I tell you, not even Shlomo in all his glory was clothed as beautifully as one of these.
Furthermore, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called in accordance with his purpose;
but those who hope in Adonai will renew their strength, they will soar aloft as with eagles’ wings; when they are running they won’t grow weary, when they are walking they won’t get tired.
Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths.
But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
For the leader. By the descendants of Korach. On ‘alamot [high-pitched musical instruments?]. A song:
In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the ‘olam hazeh. Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!
For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift.
You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast.
Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving.
Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua.
The name of Adonai is a strong tower; a righteous person runs to it and is raised high [above danger].
I thank you because I am awesomely made, wonderfully; your works are wonders — I know this very well.
“A person whose desire rests on you you preserve in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.
May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and shalom as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh you may overflow with hope.
No temptation has seized you beyond what people normally experience, and God can be trusted not to allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. On the contrary, along with the temptation he will also provide the way out, so that you will be able to endure.
and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, enter his courtyards with praise; give thanks to him, and bless his name.
that if you acknowledge publicly with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord and trust in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be delivered.
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you.
See, the Word of God is alive! It is at work and is sharper than any double-edged sword — it cuts right through to where soul meets spirit and joints meet marrow, and it is quick to judge the inner reflections and attitudes of the heart.
What he said sounded smoother than butter, but his heart was at war. His words seemed more soothing than oil, but in fact they were sharp swords.
And I am sure of this: that the One who began a good work among you will keep it growing until it is completed on the Day of the Messiah Yeshua.
When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. But the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had, who loved me and gave himself up for me.
For what one earns from sin is death; but eternal life is what one receives as a free gift from God, in union with the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.
For God gave us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but power, love and self-discipline.
In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.
Also keep your servant from presumptuous sins, so that they won’t control me. Then I will be blameless and free of great offense.
Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength!
Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary.
If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.
But he was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises* we are healed.
Let your attitude toward one another be governed by your being in union with the Messiah Yeshua:
Whatever work you do, put yourself into it, as those who are serving not merely other people, but the Lord.
“Do not store up for yourselves wealth here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and burglars break in and steal.
So, when you do tzedakah, don’t announce it with trumpets to win people’s praise, like the hypocrites in the synagogues and on the streets. Yes! I tell you, they have their reward already!
Instead, store up for yourselves wealth in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and burglars do not break in or steal.
For where your wealth is, there your heart will be also.
So let us not grow weary of doing what is good; for if we don’t give up, we will in due time reap the harvest.
But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Now to him who by his power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine,
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Adonai.
“As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
“Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
And let us keep paying attention to one another, in order to spur each other on to love and good deeds,
not neglecting our own congregational meetings, as some have made a practice of doing, but, rather, encouraging each other. And let us do this all the more as you see the Day approaching.
This is why we do not lose courage. Though our outer self is heading for decay, our inner self is being renewed daily.
Examine me, God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts.
See if there is in me any hurtful way, and lead me along the eternal way.
Or perhaps you despise the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience; because you don’t realize that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to turn from your sins.
In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy.
What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants.
Praised be Adonai, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who in the Messiah has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heaven.
Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua.
For I, Adonai, your God, say to you, as I hold your right hand, ‘Have no fear; I will help you.
To the ends of the earth he makes wars cease — he breaks the bow, snaps the spear, burns the shields in the fire.
but he told me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness.” Therefore, I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses, in order that the Messiah’s power will rest upon me.
Keep your lives free from the love of money; and be satisfied with what you have; for God himself has said, “I will never fail you or abandon you.”
I keep pursuing the goal in order to win the prize offered by God’s upward calling in the Messiah Yeshua.
Adonai is my strength and shield; in him my heart trusted, and I have been helped. Therefore my heart is filled with joy, and I will sing praises to him.
This is the confidence we have in his presence: if we ask anything that accords with his will, he hears us.
Therefore, do not let sin rule in your mortal bodies, so that it makes you obey its desires;
and do not offer any part of yourselves to sin as an instrument for wickedness. On the contrary, offer yourselves to God as people alive from the dead, and your various parts to God as instruments for righteousness.
My son, pay attention to what I am saying; incline your ear to my words.
Don’t let them out of your sight, keep them deep in your heart;
for they are life to those who find them and health to their whole being.
so that you may live lives worthy of the Lord and entirely pleasing to him, being fruitful in every good work and multiplying in the full knowledge of God.
We have this hope as a sure and safe anchor for ourselves, a hope that goes right on through to what is inside the parokhet,
Do all you can to present yourself to God as someone worthy of his approval, as a worker with no need to be ashamed, because he deals straightforwardly with the Word of the Truth.
But he answered, “The Tanakh says, ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of Adonai’”
I exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please him; it is the logical “Temple worship” for you.
Love each other devotedly and with brotherly love; and set examples for each other in showing respect.
Don’t be lazy when hard work is needed, but serve the Lord with spiritual fervor.
Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer.
Share what you have with God’s people, and practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you — bless them, don’t curse them!
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Be sensitive to each other’s needs — don’t think yourselves better than others, but make humble people your friends. Don’t be conceited.
Repay no one evil for evil, but try to do what everyone regards as good.
If possible, and to the extent that it depends on you, live in peace with all people.
Never seek revenge, my friends; instead, leave that to God’s anger; for in the Tanakh it is written, “Adonai says, ‘Vengeance is my responsibility; I will repay.’”
In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the ‘olam hazeh. Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.
Better a day in your courtyards than a thousand [days elsewhere]. Better just standing at the door of my God’s house than living in the tents of the wicked.
Everyone will know that you are my talmidim by the fact that you have love for each other.”
