109 Bible Verses about Church Unity

Think about humility, gentleness, patience, and living together in harmony. These are so important for us as believers. We're all connected in Christ, part of the same spiritual body. It's a powerful image, isn't it?

Ephesians 2:15-161 talks about how Christ broke down the walls between us, creating peace and bringing us together as one. He abolished the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. It's a reminder that our unity comes from Him.

And remember Jesus's prayer in John 17:21-222, just before he went to the cross? He prayed for us, that we would all be one, just as he and the Father are one. He longed for that unity, for us to reflect that incredible bond to the world. It's a pretty amazing thing to be part of.

Prayer

Lord, you are the Alpha and the Omega! Father, creator of heaven and earth, you are the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Holy Father, thank you because through faith you have made me holy, and your will is for me to be a believer who practices true fellowship and holiness, putting aside division, strife, and conflict. I ask that you help me each day to examine my heart and recognize whether or not I am truly practicing God's love in my life. Help me understand that I am called to live a holy life, being an example to others, dwelling in harmony with the family of faith. Give me the wisdom and prudence to treat my brothers and sisters, so that despite disagreements and differences of opinion, unity may always prevail among us. Just like the early church, who shared all things in common, persevering in doctrine, in fellowship with one another, in the breaking of bread, and in prayer. Lord, teach me to be tolerant and not to look only after my own interests, but to remain at all times in prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching over this with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. In Jesus' name, Amen.
