Now Joseph was governor over the land; he it was who sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph's brothers came, and bowed themselves before him with their faces to the ground.


And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought; and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.


The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.


Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.


He who says to the wicked, “You are innocent,” will be cursed by peoples, abhorred by nations;


He who gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.
