While this was taking place I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Ar-ta-xerxes king of Babylon I went to the king. And after some time I asked leave of the king


In the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Ar-ta-xerxes, when wine was before him, I took up the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had not been sad in his presence.


He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them; and he made five talents more.


What then is my reward? Just this: that in my preaching I may make the gospel free of charge, not making full use of my right in the gospel.
