He also made houses on high places, and appointed priests from among all the people, who were not of the Levites.


For the saying which he cried by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.”


So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the Lord.


For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
