For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.


And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is well that we are here; if you wish, I will make three booths here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren.


And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses; and they were talking to Jesus.


For he did not know what to say, for they were exceedingly afraid.


And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is well that we are here; let us make three booths, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said.


Meanwhile the disciples besought him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”


I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.


Beloved, we are God's children now; it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
