Of Issachar, those who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, two hundred chiefs, and all their kindred under their command.


Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.


But the midwives feared God; they did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but they let the boys live.


No harm happens to the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.


The discerning person looks to wisdom, but the eyes of a fool to the ends of the earth.


The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of a fool to the left.


The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments, for that is the whole duty of everyone.


The wise have eyes in their head, but fools walk in darkness. Yet I perceived that the same fate befalls all of them.


Keep the king’s command, and because of your sacred oath


Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because he was determined to go after vanity.


He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.”


But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge;


But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.


For this reason, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,


But solid food is for the mature, for those whose faculties have been trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.
