And God created man in His image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female.


But there went up from the earth a mist and watered all the face of the ground.


In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.


therefore Jehovah God sent him out from the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he had been taken.


all who breathed the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.


As long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,


The Spirit of God made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.


Behold, I am toward God even as you are; I also am formed out of the clay.


How much less in those who live in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth?


Know that Jehovah, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.


For He knows our form; He remembers that we are dust.


The spirit of man is the lamp of Jehovah, searching all the inward parts of the belly.


then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.


a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;


Cease from man, whose breath is in his nostril; for in what is he to be esteemed?


But now, O Jehovah, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are our Former; and we all are the work of Your hand.


The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits; of whom we said, In His shadow we shall live among the nations.


So says the Lord Jehovah to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.


And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am Jehovah.


The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.


And they fell upon their faces and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin and will You be angry with all the congregation?


Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation


And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.


nor is served with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives life and breath and all things to all.


No, but, O man, who are you who replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to Him who formed it, Why have you made me this way?


And so it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul," the last Adam was a life-giving Spirit.


The first man was out of earth, earthy; the second Man was the Lord from Heaven.


But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us;


For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.


For Adam was first formed, then Eve.


Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
