and the priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.


And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.


and one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the Lord God.


And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.


And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house.


Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.


and the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord.


and he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their ignorance:


I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.


For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.


and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:


And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled


and having a high priest over the house of God;


For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,


Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;


For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.


Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;


who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.


And Moses verily was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;


Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.


For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.


For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:


called of God a high priest after the order of Melchiz´edek.


who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.


So also Christ glorified not himself to be made a high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee.


whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchiz´edek.


For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;


For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.


Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;


For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.


But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
