Now the rest of the acts of Abi´jam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abi´jam and Jerobo´am.


And Rehobo´am loved Ma´achah the daughter of Ab´salom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines; and begat twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)


Neither did Jerobo´am recover strength again in the days of Abi´jah: and the Lord struck him, and he died.


And the rest of the acts of Abi´jah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.


And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havoth–ja´ir unto this day, which are in the land of Gil´e-ad.


And he went unto his father's house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubba´al, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding, yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubba´al was left; for he hid himself.
