And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.


I sent you to reap that whereupon ye bestowed no labor: other men labored, and ye are entered into their labors.


Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.


I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.


Salute Tryphae´na and Trypho´sa, who labor in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which labored much in the Lord.


Greet Mary, who bestowed much labor on us.


And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.


But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.


Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;


Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.


The husbandman that laboreth must be first partaker of the fruits.


but hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;


For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:


These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.


Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.


Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.


the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
