1 Thessalonians 2:14
26 Krydshenvisninger

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoeni´cia, and Cyprus, and An´ti-och, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

And there came thither certain Jews from An´ti-och and Ico´ni-um, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

But when the Jews of Thessaloni´ca had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Beroe´a, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.

And when Gal´li-o was the deputy of Achai´a, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

Then Anani´as answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Then had the churches rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

Give none offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

and was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ:

Paul, and Silva´nus, and Timothy, Unto the church of the Thessalo´ni-ans which is in God the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

Paul, and Silva´nus, and Timothy, Unto the church of the Thessalo´ni-ans in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
