I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee; and IN THEE shall all the kindred of the earth be blessed.


And let peoples serve thee, and tribes worship thee. Be thou lord of thy brethren, and let thy mother's children bow down before thee. Cursed be he that curseth thee: and let him that blesseth thee be filled with blessings.


Juda is a lion's whelp: to the prey, my son, thou art gone up. Resting thou hast couched as a lion, and as a lioness. Who shall rouse him?


And twelve little lions stood upon the six steps on the one side and on the other. There was no such work made in any kingdom.


And six steps to go up to the throne: and a footstool of gold: and two arms one on either side: and two lions standing by the arms:


Out of his mouth go forth lamps, like torches of lighted fire.


Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way:


But if thou wilt hear his voice, and do all that I speak: I will be an enemy to thy enemies, and will afflict them that afflict thee.


For thus saith the Lord to me: Like as the lion roareth, and the lion's whelp upon his prey; and when a multitude of shepherds shall come against him, he will not fear at their voice, nor be afraid of their multitude: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight upon mount Sion and upon the hill thereof.

And God said to Balaam: Thou shalt not go with them, nor shalt thou curse the people: because it is blessed.


Come therefore, and curse this people, because it is mightier than I, if by any means I may beat them and drive them out of my land. For I know that he whom thou shalt bless is blessed, and he whom thou shalt curse is cursed.


Behold, the people shall rise up as a lioness: and shall lift itself up as a lion. It shall not lie down till it devour the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.


And Balac, being angry against Balaam, clapped his hands together and said: I called thee to curse my enemies: and thou on the contrary hast blessed them three times.


And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.


Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me.


Who said: Who art thou, Lord? And he: I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. It is hard for thee to kick against the goad.


And he will turn all these curses upon thy enemies, and upon them that hate and persecute thee.
