In this way, you will store up a valuable treasure for a time of need.

If you have much, distribute abundantly. If you have little, nevertheless strive to bestow a little freely.

If thou have much give abundantly: if thou have little, take care even so to bestow willingly a little.

This is as good as money saved. You will have your reward in a time of trouble.

for you lay up a good treasure for yourself against the day of necessity;

If you help the poor, then later, when you are in need, others will help you.
