Romans 8:26 - The Scriptures 2009

26 And in the same way the Spirit does help in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray, but the Spirit Himself pleads our case for us with groanings unutterable.

“And I shall pour on the house of Dawiḏ and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of favour and prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the first-born.


for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you.


But יהושע answering, said, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and to be immersed with the immersion that I am immersed with?” They said to Him, “We are able.”


And being in agony, He was praying more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.


“And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever –


But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.


Wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from this body of death?


For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”


For indeed in this we groan, longing to put on our dwelling which is from heaven,


For indeed, we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we wish to put it off, but to put on the other, so that what is to die might be swallowed up by life.


And because you are sons, Elohim has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!”


Because through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.


praying at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the set-apart ones;


For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin.


being able to have a measure of feeling for those not knowing and being led astray, since he himself is also surrounded by weakness.


You ask and do not receive, because you ask evilly, in order to spend it on your pleasures.
