Psalm 22:15 - The Scriptures 2009

15 My strength is dried like a potsherd, And My tongue is cleaving to My jaws; And to the dust of death You are appointing Me.

And Aḇraham answered and said, “Look, please, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to יהוה,


By the sweat of your face you are to eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you return.


“For we shall certainly die and become like water spilled on the ground, which is not gathered up again. Yet Elohim does not take away a life, but shall devise ways, so that His outcast ones are not cast out from Him.


Remember, please, that You have made me like clay. And would You turn me into dust again?


My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh, and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.


the voice of leaders was hushed, and their tongue clung to the roof of their mouth.


And now my life pours itself out; days of affliction seize me.


all flesh would expire together and man return to dust.


And why do You not pardon my transgression, and take away my crookedness? For now I lie down in the dust, and You shall seek me, but I am not.”


You hide Your face, they are alarmed; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust;


“What gain is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Would dust praise You? Would it declare Your truth?


My heart is throbbing, my strength has forsaken me; And the light of my eyes also is not with me.


And they gave me gall for my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.


I am worn out from my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes grow dim As I wait for my Elohim.


A rejoicing heart causes good healing, But a stricken spirit dries the bones.


Therefore I give Him a portion among the great, and He divides the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His being unto death, and He was counted with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.


The tongue of the infant has clung To the roof of its mouth for thirst; Children asked for bread, No one breaks it for them.


and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence.


And יהושע cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up His spirit.


After this, יהושע, knowing that all had been accomplished, in order that the Scripture might be accomplished, said, “I thirst!”


For I delivered to you at the first that which I also received: that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
