11 יהוה has sworn in truth to Dawiḏ; He does not turn from it, “Of the fruit of your body I set upon your throne.

then I shall establish the throne of your reign, as I covenanted with Dawiḏ your father, saying, ‘There is not to cease a man of yours as ruler in Yisra’ĕl.’


יהוה has sworn and does not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Malkitseḏeq.”


But My loving-commitment I do not take away from him, Nor be false to My trustworthiness.”


Once I have sworn by My set-apartness, I do not lie to Dawiḏ:"


“Like the moon, it is established forever, And the witness in the heaven is steadfast.” Selah.


And the heavens praise Your wonders, O יהוה, Your trustworthiness, too, In the assembly of the set-apart ones.


"Ěl is not a man, to lie; nor a son of man, to repent! Has He said, and would He not do it; or spoken, and would not confirm it?


“He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High. And יהוה Elohim shall give Him the throne of His father Dawiḏ.


“Being a prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne,


so that by two unchangeable matters in which it is impossible for Elohim to lie, we might have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the expectation set before us,


“Moreover, the Eminence of Yisra’ĕl does not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.”
