I have waited for your deliverance, O יהוה!”


You are my hiding place and my shield; I have waited for Your word.


So that I answer my reprover, For I have trusted in Your word.


Zayin Remember the word to Your servant, On which You have caused me to wait.


Those who fear You see me and rejoice, For I have waited for Your Word.


Kaph For Your deliverance my being has pined away, For I have waited for Your word.


Wait on יהוה, be strong, And let Him strengthen your heart! Wait, I say, on יהוה!


Our being has longed for יהוה; Our help and our shield is He.


I waited, waited for יהוה; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry.


My being finds rest in Elohim alone; From Him is my deliverance.


My being, find rest in Elohim alone, Because my expectation is from Him.


Also, in the path of Your right-rulings, O יהוה, we have waited for You; the longing of our being is for Your Name and for the remembrance of You.


And therefore יהוה shall wait, to show you favour. And therefore He shall be exalted, to have compassion on you. For יהוה is an Elohim of right-ruling. Blessed are all those who wait for Him.


And I shall wait on יהוה, who hides His face from the house of Ya‛aqoḇ. And I shall look for Him.


And see, there was a man in Yerushalayim whose name was Shim‛on, and this man was righteous and dedicated, looking for the comforting of Yisra’ĕl. And the Set-apart Spirit was upon him.


And she, coming in at that moment, gave thanks to יהוה, and spoke of Him to all who were waiting for redemption in Yerushalayim.


so that by two unchangeable matters in which it is impossible for Elohim to lie, we might have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the expectation set before us,
