48 And seeing them straining at rowing – for the wind was against them – at about the fourth watch of the night, He came to them walking on the sea, and He wished to pass them by.

But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, agitated by the waves, for the wind was against it.


“And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.


“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming – in the evening or at midnight, or at the crowing of the cock, or in the morning,


And when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea. And He was alone on the land.


And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a phantom, and cried out,


“And if he comes in the second watch, or in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.


And they approached the village where they were going, and He seemed to be going on.


who were born, not of blood nor of the desire of flesh nor of the desire of man, but of Elohim.


And it came to be, on the next day, that Sha’ul put the people in three companies. And they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch and struck Ammon until the heat of the day. And it came to be that those left were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.
