“Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, and cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?


And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “Because we brought no bread!”


“Give to him who asks of you, and from him who wishes to borrow from you, do not turn away.


And see, a certain one learned in the Torah stood up, trying Him, and saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?”


“But give in kindness of that which is within, and see, all are clean to you.


He then spoke a parable to them, saying, “The land of a certain rich man yielded well.


And he said, ‘I am going to do this: pull down my storehouses and build greater, and store all my crops and my goods there,”


And He said to His taught ones, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you shall eat; nor about the body, what you shall put on.


“And do not seek what you shall eat or what you shall drink, and do not keep worrying.


“Sell your possessions and give in kindness. Make yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief does come near nor moth destroys.


“And the manager said within himself, ‘What shall I do? For my master is taking the managership away from me. I am unable to dig, I am ashamed to beg.


And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they shall receive you into everlasting dwellings.


And hearing this, יהושע said to him, “Yet one you lack: Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven. And come, follow Me.”


And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant. Because you were trustworthy in a small matter, have authority over ten cities.’


And answering He said to them, “Let him who has two undergarments share with him who has none, and let him who has food do likewise.”


And having led them outside he said, “Masters, what do I have to do to be saved?”


And having heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Kĕpha and the rest of the emissaries, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?”


imparting to the needs of the set-apart ones, pursuing kindness towards strangers.


Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living Elohim, who gives us richly all for enjoyment,


By this we have known love, because He laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
