26 “And see! He speaks boldly, and they say none at all to Him. Could it be that the rulers truly know that this is truly the Messiah?

And Pilate, having called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,


But the Pharisees and those learned in the Torah rejected the counsel of Elohim for themselves, not having been immersed by him.


Still, even among the rulers many did believe in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the congregation,


יהושע answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the congregation and in the Set-apart Place, where the Yehuḏim always meet, and I spoke no word in secret.


And there was a man of the Pharisees, Naḵdimon was his name, a ruler of the Yehuḏim.


Come, see a Man who told me all that I have done. Is this not the Messiah?


Therefore some of them from Yerushalayim said, “Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill?


And many of the crowd believed in Him, and said, “When the Messiah comes, shall He do more signs than these which this One did?”


“Has anyone of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed in Him?


His parents said this because they were afraid of the Yehuḏim, for the Yehuḏim had already agreed that if anyone confessed that He was Messiah, he should be put out of the congregation.


And seeing the boldness of Kĕpha and Yoḥanan, and perceiving that they were unlearned and ordinary men, they marvelled. And they recognised that they had been with יהושע.


and most of the brothers, trusting in the Master because of my chains, are much more bold to fearlessly speak the word.
